About Our Chef
Shade Adebayo was born and raised in Nigeria. She came to Colorado early 2000 and her focus and love has always been with children and food. Shade started selling moin-moin (a Yoruba delicacy) to those in her community. From there, she added more food items to her menu including her famous beans. As she gained more attraction and customers, Shade had specific days where she would send out mass text messages of her menu with a location where people could meet her to buy lunch. This grew even bigger than she expected. At this point, Shade started looking for a bigger space: a food truck. Finally after many years of searching and simultaneously growing the business, Shade was able to purchase a food truck during the pandemic: June of 2020. With the help of family and friends, her amazing staff, she has been able to achieve so much with the business.
Shade has a Masters in Early childhood Education from the University of Denver. She is a wife, mother, teacher, daughter.

Testimonials
It’s always a wonderful experience getting African delicacies from Sweet Pepper Kitchen. I get a taste of home cooked meals. It’s taste so good and affordable I come right back. They’re customer focus and have the right staff to get the job done.
The spot for solid African food in Colorado. I recommend everything. 5/5 stars.
Good food but a bit pricey and the ratio of fufu with soup is a little disappointing. I have to order extra fufu for the soup. It’s definitely worth a try taste wise.
